Introduction
After completing the new commercial kitchen installation for Aylsham Garden Centre back in 2024, due to their continued success we were back again to build and install a new fridge-freezer cold room, supporting the expansion of its Four Seasons Restaurant. The goal of the project was to increase and improve chilled and frozen storage capacity to meet growing demand, while ensuring the new unit remained hygienic, efficient, and easy to maintain.
Coldroom Installation
The project began with a full site assessment to determine the most suitable location for the new cold room within the restaurant’s back-of-house area. Using our in-house building team, we constructed the framework for the new Williams fridge-freezer unit, ensuring it met both structural and insulation requirements.
Once the framework was completed, our refrigeration engineers installed the evaporator fan system to provide consistent temperature control across both chilled and frozen sections. All electrical and refrigeration connections were carefully commissioned to ensure reliability and energy efficiency.
To complete the installation, we fitted cold room racking designed to optimise storage space and maintain safe, organised stock handling. The system was then fully tested, calibrated, and handed over to the client with staff guidance on operation and maintenance.
