Introduction

The Last Bar and Restaurant, based in the centre of Norwich, has for years been a popular destination for diners and drinkers. It has recently been acquired by new owners and needed a full kitchen renovation in advance of the reopening.

The brief was to provide a completely refurbished commercial kitchen including the removal of all existing equipment, and all worn-out wall and ceiling cladding in preparation for a revitalised new chef's cooking environment.

The work involved the removal of the internal walk-in fridge, stripping back the ceilings and walls to gain access to the back panels. Our in-house builder then packed out the walls and ceiling with MDF boards ready for the installation of the new white food plastic wall cladding and PVC food-grade ceiling cladding. The kitchen now satisfies EHO guidelines and is simple to clean after a heavy service.
