Project Case Study

No33 in the park

Introduction

Our brief was to plan, design and construct a brand new kitchen at the highly popular No 33 Cafe on the famous Chapelfield gardens site, formerly known as Pedros. Liaising closely with the owner Nichola Hay and the site manager, we were responsible for all aspects of the project delivery.

The client required a duplicate of the kitchen already in use at No33 Exchange Street, Norwich. The old kitchen was very run down and in need of a big efficiency update. The new open plan kitchen created by MCT has allowed the work area to be more productive and well suited to the catering needs to serve a restaurant that seats 80.

What we did

We supplied and installed white food grade plastic and stainless steel wall cladding as well as UPVC food grade ceiling cladding. We designed and fabricated a brand-new canopy and ductwork system for the cook line and supplied and installed the new cooking equipment as requested. A new ware washing area and pot wash area was created using fabricated tabling, shelving and a new dishwasher. The work was completed entirely by our in-house team.

"Nigel and the MCT team have been supplying, servicing and repairing the equipment at No33 café for many years and we wouldn't be without them. Whenever we have an issue, we know one of the team will be there the same day (often within the hour) without question, which is so valuable when running a busy restaurant”.

“When we opened our second branch, there was no question that Multi Catering Technologies would be the people we entrusted with the kitchen refit. From design, supply to install, the team was amazing! Having worked with Nigel for so long, he knew inherently how our chefs work and how our kitchen needed to be designed to optimise that. It really took the load off and it was one less thing to worry about. The kitchen is fantastic quality and functions just perfectly for our operation. I honestly can't recommend MCT highly enough!"
